This is an endeavor created by the local civil society, which, together with other players, collaborates with different levels and agencies of the Mexican government for the detection and solution of social problems in the Metropolitan Area of Monterrey via massive citizen participation. Based on documentary analysis, in-depth interviews and questionnaires to key actors, the article highlights that the CIC successfully links together citizens and authorities, to receive, validate, channel and do follow-up on the citizen reports received via digital social networksDownloads
